HOW WE STARTED
Behavior Analysts International (BAI) was founded in 2013 by a team of Behavior Analysts committed to effecting change in the lives of families around the world. The primary purpose of a BAI program is to enhance the lives of children and adults with developmental disabilities through the technology of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). The company was founded on the premise that the client comes first without compromising the effectiveness of the staff that serves them.
It is through this goal that every individual served by BAI will achieve their greatest potential.
MEET OUR FOUNDER & CEO
Rick Gutierrez, Ph.D., BCBA, IBA
Dr. Gutierrez is the Founder and CEO of Behavior Analysts International, a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, and a Licensed Psychologist in California! He has a Doctorate in Industrial/Organizational Psychology as well as a Masters in Psychology with an emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis.
Dr. Gutierrez has provided numerous workshops on Applied Behavior Analysis across Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America. In addition, he has provided international consultation to clinics serving individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities around the globe.
Dr. Gutierrez has extensive experience in staff training, employee retention, employee engagement, as well as the treatment of individuals diagnosed with autism and other developmental disabilities. He is an Emotional Intelligence trainer and has published research in The Analysis of Verbal Behavior. His research interests are in social skills, verbal behavior, problem behavior, and organizational behavior management.

MEET OUR CLINICAL DIRECTOR
Shari Daisy, Ph.D., BCBA-D
Dr. Daisy earned her bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from the University of Nevada, Reno in 1993. She went on to pursue graduate degrees in Special Education (MEd, Slippery Rock University, 1998), Applied Behavior Analysis (EdS, Simmons College, 2007), and Psychology, Behavior Analysis Specialization (PhD, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, 2019).
Dr. Daisy has worked in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities since 1998 as a special education teacher, student services coordinator, educational and behavioral consultant, college professor, multi-tiered systems of support regional coordinator, and crisis prevention clinical director. Dr. Daisy has presented at numerous professional conferences throughout the United States and Canada, along with extensive experience providing system-level trainings.
Dr. Daisy specializes in providing compassionate, comprehensive, and individualized support and training to assist people of all ages and abilities in achieving well-being through the application of applied behavior analysis within the lens of positive psycholog
